Compared to microdermabrasion, Hydrafacial is newer technology that is more gentle and gives superior results.
Who is it suitable for? How safe is it?
The Hydrafacial treatment is suitable for almost all ages and all skin types including sensitive skin.
The treatment is non-invasive and non-surgical. There is minimal discomfort and no downtime. Make-up can be applied immediately after the procedure.
What is the procedure?
The treatment utilises a patented Vortex-Fusion technology to provide maximum result with minimum downtime. It includes a series of stages to allow: exfoliation of dead skin, a mild chemical peel, extraction of pores for deep cleaning, and infusion of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid. All of this happens in the same appointment.
The Hydrafacial can be further customised to treat: lymphatic drainage, fine lines, circulation, pigmentation and acne.
How many treatments are needed?
The Hydrafacial is an active treatment for both improving and maintaining your skin. One treatment per month is recommended to maintain optimal skin health. The Hydrafacial is typically used in combination with other skin procedures to maximise overall results.

Hydrafacial: A closer look at what to expect during the procedure
Hydrafacial is a revolutionary treatment. It is a non-ablative, non-invasive treatment that has proven effective in generally improving skin health and addressing specific concerns.
Hydrafacial combines several proven techniques simultaneously, delivering through patented Vortex technology for radiant and youthful skin.
The entire treatment takes around 50 minutes and there is virtually no downtime, and no discomfort. There are a number of steps involved:
1. Exfoliation and Cleansing
The treatment starts with exfoliation, which removes the outer dead skin layers and cleanses the dirt and sebum that accumulate on the skin. This reveals new and healthy layers of the skin.
2. Acid Peel
A mild GlySal peel is used to help loosen dirt, sebum and any lodged debris from the pores. This also stimulates formation of new skin.
3. Extraction
The skin is then ready to have the pores extracted (removal of debris and sebum). Due to the skin preparation, this extraction process is both effective and comfortable.
4. Hydration
After clearing the pores we are able to infuse nutrients back to the skin. A serum of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and peptides is infused into the skin. This nourishes from within and help protect the skin from free radicals.
