Keep your skin youthful and fresh. Chemical peels exfoliates the dead outer layer of skin and stimulates your body to produce new, healthy skin.
They refresh the skin by removing the outer damaged layers of skin. This activates and accelerates the regenerative processes.
It also stimulates collagen remodeling and synthesis. In the process of 1-2 weeks afterwards, new and healthy skin forms from the deeper dermal layers.
Downtime is minimal. Best results are seen 2 weeks after treatment to allow skin regeneration. Repeated treatments are recommended for optimal results.

How Do Peels Work?
Exfoliation is a process of the removal of dead surface cells from the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis.
Peels are a “matching game”. Depending on your skin’s needs, your skin technician will be able to match your skin concern and skin type to the correct peel.
What to Expect
It is vital that you follow the recommended pre and post treatment care in order to optimise your results and help minimise skin from adverse reactions.
Peels are not recommended if you are pregnant.
Prior to Chemicals Peel
You will be prescribed a homecare regime suited to your skin type
Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen at least SPF 30+
Crease use of any Retinol products 48 hours prior to the peel
During the Peel
The peel may cause a slight tingling or heat on the skin – this is a normal skin response. The reason is that the peel is designed to accelerate the rapid exfoliation of the skin creating a slight tingling effect. The heat and slight discomfort may be due to the active ingredients as they penetrate into the skin.
After the Peel
You may expect minor discomfort, redness, heat and/or flakiness – this is a normal response. Any minor redness or flaking may be easily covered up with make up.
Should you have any concerns, please contact your skin technician or seek medical advice.
POST TREATEMENT
Use Ultraceuticals moisturiser range as instructed for the next 5-7 days following your peel.
Always apply Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 30+/50+ during the day.
Avoid active homecare products (Vitamin A, Vitamin C, AHAs and BHA) 5-7 days post treatment.
RARE SIDE EFFECTS
Do not pick at peeling skin as this may cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Do not prematurely expose skin to the sun as this may cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
